I'm considering getting my tint done.. I dont wanna go limo but prolly more like 30% or so. I hate getting pulled over...

So anyone got a place in 408/510 that does good work? Preferably at a good price too.. thanks.

they have quantum tint there, which is hte most fantastic tint i have ever seen (and thus what i bought )

they have many other tints, too.

i believe 6 year warranty on black tints, and lifetime warrantee on quantum.

and they do a damn good job, too

i got mine done at auto sound. theyre located right next to capital honda. theyre ok... i have to go back to get mine fixed

 

Mr Tint on Stevens Creek isn't that good. The quantum tint that Mr Tint
offers is badass, but their service sucks! They left my car all dirty, and especially when
they did my back window, their footmarks were all on the back of my seat, and I still
can't get half the crap off the back of my seats. Same problem with my friend, I had to go
back like 3 times already because my tint on the back window kept warping for some reason,
I went with quantum, but I'm going with the darkest they have--love the tint, hate the
workers. If you want a good deal, say you got referred by some people and go to Valley Fair
Shopping Center and go to their booth and talk to "Yancey", the manager. He's got a silver
Porsche on the bottom by the food court, can't miss it!

Thanks for the replies. I got quoted 225 bucks from Mr. Tint if I call it in ahead of time. Usually its 250 if you just drop by without an appointment. They seem to be the only place that does laser cutting instead of hand. Not sure if that really makes much of a difference? I tried looking up Auto sound but cant locate a phone number..

Rabbit, got any pics of your ride? I'm have my tint removed and then I'm going
to put on darker Quantum tint, I was too much of a chicken chit to do it in the
first place cause I was afraid of getting pulled over. After ALREADY getting
pulled over for bull---- reasons, I don't care anymore, plus, I can get my tickets
written off!

my car is kinda dirty righ tnow, but sure, I have 52% on each front, like what, 34, 35 on the sides? i think? and 19 on the back. state legal (well, not 52%, but the cops cant tell) looks great on a black car, the pictures really dont do it much justice

I have 30 something on the front, and 20 something on the back. I could totally
see the difference on yours between your front and back windows, that's what
I have right now, but the darker you go, it looks like platinum-y, now that I changed
my mind, i wanted to go with the darkest quantum all around...who cares about
police.

oh yeah, one last thing, if you get quantum, dont get 30 %, my buddy did that on his silver camry and i tlooks like he got no tint at all.

19 or 14 is the darkest they go, and its pretty dark, all things considered.

if you dont want it "tooooo" dark, then get the tint in teh 20's, cause the tint in teh 30's looks like nothing. the only reason you cna tell its 52 in teh front is cause you got the 20's or whatever i went with on the sides.

but seriously dont get 30ish % on teh back, you want a little darker than that, for quantum

xxdelerious, they are across the street from the Target store in San- Leandro. Call them for a quote, my guess for 2 windows would be $50-60.
