Re: got a new ride!
didn't you have a motorcycle along with your civic before already? or am I thinking of someone else???
btw, bike looks like some fun! had to get something with better gas mileage? haha!
and no, sadly, there are no meets...there's two members in sacramento, and me down in monterey that regularly check the boards....but other than that, the SF and SJ people are far and few between...so no meets until further notice.

**** dude, stoppies'll get you some times. One good thing about practicing them, you know for damn sure how hard you can get on the front brake before the rear comes up on you. That alone saved my *** in a near head-on.
fyi, if anyone tells you the riders' assoc. motorcycle safety course is a waste of time, dont listen to them. It was the best money I spent during my riding days, hands down. It takes a while, but having lots of controlled, slow-speed maneuvering experience isnt something we usually get in "peeps with sportbikes" groups. If you can spare the time and cash, take the course. Its pretty fun actually. Most important thing though, it might save your life. Ride safe bro.
