im prob going to come out to sacramento to go to wyotech within the next couple of months. i was woundering if i could get insite on how it is out there with cars, people, shops and all the fun stuff.

Just because the forum is dead does not mean sac is. There are a few shops out here, used to be more but e-commerce has killed it a bit. We have a drag track that street cars can run on. My only biggest piece of advice is watch the cops especially in roseville, folsom, placer, and citrus heights counties. Do not get me wrong they are all kinda diks but those counties mentioned are worse. There is more but its early. I will post more when I remember.

There are car thefts here. I would say its certain areas but its more based on certain cars and ease of access. There are areas to stay out of but its weird. We live in north sac which is fairly crappy, yet we have a good street and no bodies car gets messed with. It is really hit or miss just make sure you do not leave a lot of stuff in your car and get a good alarm and you should be good to go.

ya, its weird how things r like that. do u by chance know where the wyotech campus is in sacramento? i havent been down to check it out at all or the area. i know i need to get a good alarm, but no matter what im going to get an apartment that has a garage and there is no way around that.

what alarms r good? i know i can get a cheapo one, but those suck and always **** me off.

Its in west sac which can be crappy. I run a compustar and they are not too bad in price right around 350 installed. Viper is good too I just prefer the two way feature so the alarm is more useful. Where are you moving from if you do not mind me asking?

Any where from 600 to 800 or more and I am not sure about the garage part. Its a little more expensive here than texas but quite a bit cheaper than san fran. Btw you will love the weather.

I have compustar alarm to I'm happy with it. Since I got it my car hasn't been broken into . You should hit us up once your in sac we can have mini meet or something.

oh i will. ill be all alone in cali and all id have is car buddies to hang out with.

im going to try my hardest to get a place with a garage or atleast some kind of protected parking
