my DEI viper 600 lasted (and still working) 4.5 years. only thing that went wrong was a couple wires broke from crappy circuit city install and the siren died. which they are dime a dozen on ebay and easy to replace. i got a bmw oem siren for mine thats alot nicer anyway.
