Ever fired a .50 Caliber Sniper Rifle?

Blow away a TurboCharged Datsun. Located in Livermore. $10 a shot. Pretty cool eh? I'm thinking of just showing up to watch (I've fired .50 cals before, LOTS of fun!).

A .50 cal rifle is cool but what is the purpose for a normal person to have besides being able to say I got a .50 cal rifle wanna see? I mean a .30-06 will take down pretty much any animal with a fairly clean shot.

Head out to Spenceville(sp?) its by camp far west/Beale AFB on Spenceville Rd. It is a unregulated shooting range that is often crowded. You can back up to the range and sit on your tail gate while you shoot. I have seen Ma Deuces, home made cannons(for real shooting a cannon ball), Guys shooting those yellow and red toy cars with shot guns, girls dressed in red leather showing up walking on to the range dropping in to the splits and unloading a revolver then leaving as quickly as they showed up(its at least 30 min from anywhere), guys with 2 revolvers in their hands shooting from the hip, guys blowing up fax machines, and so on. Its not a dangerous place it is just very odd. Its the place to go if you ever wanted to unload a clip as quickly as possible without looking like the douche bag newb at the city range. I have been there about 3 times an hour and a half each so within 4.5 hours I have seen some awkward crap.

You answered the question yourself:

That is the purpose. I mean there's little to no use for the swords I have in my sword collection, my AEM short ram intake, or my cat, really... but I like them all. I would love to get a .50 cal too, (thanks to Arnold I can't in California anymore) but they cost a bundle. Why? Just to shoot at the range a couple times a year, blow boulders apart like I've done before. I'll use my 30.06's to take down any game, the 50 is just a fun gun

But $10 a bullet after 4 shots I could get a tank of premium for my civic. I like driving places my car alot more than shooting guns.

Well u could of bought one a year or two ago I don't remember when the ban took effect. Also aren't .50 cals like a couple grand if you could buy one.

What kind of swords do you have in your collection are they replica movie swords or actual full tang functional swords you could go out and cut things with.

Also about the guy he sounds dumb he blames everything on the car not himself because a car running bad is all in the tuning and cars don't just catch fire you have to have a fluid leak or loose wires somewhere first so the car problems are just lack of experience or care on the owners part. But its his car so he can do whatever he wants with it just had to vent a little after reading his story about hating the car.

^Very true, he is what's wrong with his car.

$10 a shot is NOT what it costs to shoot that. You could get those bullets for way less, maybe $1-$2 per bullet... easily $3-$5. He's trying to get something extra for the cost of the car. Which is alright, just admit it.

I could have bought a .50 cal a while back, but I don't have much money now, you can bet I didn't have much then either

My swords are semi-functional, mostly just show though. I would have the kind of sword that Uma Thurman cuts in half in that Japanese resturant in "Kill Bill part 1"

The question is this: Would you rather drive around for 4 hours in your civic, when you have already have driven for hundreds, or would you rather have a shot or two from the worlds most powerful handheld firearm? Just a thought

Because I drive my car plenty. A whole lot. If I hadn't fired a .50 cal before, I would jump at this. As it is, I'm happy with my current firearms, plus I have plans for that day
