May Meet Idea
Hey all... hopefully all this wet weather crud is on it's way out and we'll be getting more sunshine in the near future...
I was thinking it might be time for a BBQ again... maybe EG Park?? Found a great spot near volleyball courts, lots of shade, and we'll bring the hibachi.
I was thinking first Sunday in May? Maybe 11ish or so..
Let me know what you guys think!

Elk Grove Park is in South Elk Grove... there's a map below, but it's not the greatest...

If you're coming from the Stockton area, you'd head out on 99 N, take the Grant Line Road exit, make a left at the stop light, make a slight right onto Elk Grove-Florin Road, then a left into the park.
Once inside the park, you would follow the road until you reach a point where you'll either have to turn left or exit the park... make the left turn... we'd be set up right across from the dog park, near the volley ball courts.
If you're not coming from Stockton, let me know where you'll be coming from and I'll get directions for you.

True... but I would say the majority of meets tend to favor those in the bay area... I thought it would be nice to change it up a bit. After all... why should those in the Valley be the only ones who put miles on their cars??

lol. i couldn't help but laugh a little when i read 'how the bay area guys feel about it'. YES, I am one of the bay area guys. BUT, IT"S A DIFFERENT BAY AREA! lol.
oh yeah. and it was crazy coming back. i made it from concord back to my town in a 1:30. yeah, it took about 2:15 to get back, and 45 minutes less coming back. plus i think that my shocks are shot. quite a few bumps and thuds in the road.
ok. just had to say that.

I'm not opposed to changing the date... I just have to get the information quickly as I'm probably going to be having something that will be taking most of my Saturdays away from me for a while coming up.
Let's see what some of the other guys think before coming up with a definite date...

?We've also got paintball tickets we still need to use, so that's an option as well.. I just want to get into better shape before going out there with a bunch of (paintball) gun toting maniacs so I actually have a shot of being the third or fourth person picked off (instead of the first)

just my .02 I would rather meet in sac. But if we are going to meet fairfield way I say we meet outside of fairfield in the nearby hills or at the Lagoon Valley Lagoon otherwise the city of fairfield dosent have much to offer. I know some of you want to drive as little as possible but Lake Berryessa is nice and the road going up there is fun to drive.
Edit: I did a search and apparently there was a meet there about 3 years ago about the 4th post down there are pics of the lagoon valley park if anyone is interested. http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...ghlight=Lagoon
Its almost 2:30am I have a 10am class in about 7 hours and I just finished my english essay.
I procrastinate way to much

Yeah I got the manual tranny installed and everything runs fine but my turbokit is off now because the compresser housing hit the slave cylinder. So I am going to get the exhaust mainfold and downpipe redesigned. Yes I've stalled it a more than couple of times
