What Car should I get next?
So I finally go to sell my car soon, so what car should I get next? Planning to spend no more than $30,000.

MAyn, with gas prices these days, I would go with something that's gas efficient. If gas was cheaper, I'd go for a WRX, or TSX, something with 4 doors.

My buddy just sold his WRX and he said yeah, it was fast, but it got about 15 miles a gallon and the resale value is CRAP. He couldn't trade it in for jack, he ended up owing more on it than it was worth after like 3 years or so, so he had to take out a bigger loan when he traded it in for an accord....
Also bear in mind that gas prices will only get WORSE.
If I were you, I'd go for an accord or hybrid...

you can get an a4 for a decent price used (check craigslist) - BUT MAINTANENCE IS A BIATCH! it's a german luxury car - so keep in mind that tune ups and maintenance is at least DOUBLE what you're paying for your civic right now. the car requires 91 octane fuel. if you can hang with all of that - go for it. it's a BIG change from a civic and i love mine! if you dont mind a 5-door the a3 is also a nice audi. i've heard all good stuff about it. if you want to really find out if it's worth it - and/or what to look out for - hit up www.audiworld.com/forum and use the search engine in regards to the year/model you're looking at getting. also - whatever you're thinking about getting - call your insurance first and get a quote from them for that car. it was cheaper for me to insure the audi then my civic.
toyota is coming out with a hybrid highlander too. dunno if you're looking for something along those lines.

also - if you're planning on modding this "30g sports car" then remember - parts are more expensive too. cause if yu have enough money to buy the car - you have enough money to spend on the parts.
honestly u or others might laugh but u can build a clean hatch that looks better, faster, etc then most of those cars for less then 20,000 and get great gas mileage. For under 20,000 u can make the body clean and paint it for less then a grand if u know people then spend 13,000 on a reliable n/a k20a2 build up and have a 12 car that gets great gas mileage when u r not hittin vtec all the time. More people should follow this approach especially when gas prices r rising and new cars r gettin too expensive. U would also have another 10,000 to save for something else

He wants a luxury sedan or nice sports... whatever, he wants to roll in something that looks nice. Civic hatches don't exactly say "I look nice", they more say "I'm fast and furious"
well it could go both ways^^^^ i know of a few rich people that dont have luxury cars, just a nice house, strip/street hatch, bike, and a daily beater. Plus a hatch done right we get props even from the people that have those luxury cars. Its prob just me but imo evo's and sti's r quick and ugly with all that wing etc and a hatch just with some tlc, drop and rims look much better then those 35k cars. Heres some pics of some clean hatches and other hondas

That would be cool for a 20-something guy, yeah...
but how practical is it...?
Like Lisa said, the more expensive car you have, the more it costs to mod... AND MAINTAIN.

allmotor - i was thinking the exact same thing - and im sure he's thought of the same thing too. why not just spend all the money on the civic he already owns?! but there's an obvious reason why he didn't want to. granted - to each their own.
i thought he wanted something four-door ish.
JDM EM2 - are you leaning towards any cars? any two or three cars we could sit and debate on for you? and by the way - he hasn't posted in here for like - two days!

well I personally am going with a G35. I am looking to sell the car withing the next year or 2 and buy a nice 2004 model with low milage, plop a supercharger on that bitch with some rims and call it a day. I too am getting to the point that I want somthing a little more classy yet fast as hell.
