im suprised of how shady 'auto world body body and frame' located on E 12th St, east oakland, CA can be. some of you dont know but ive had an accident that knocked off my side mirror assembly and various body damage. after the driver at fault knocked off my side mirror, i tossed it in a bag and thought it'd can be re used instead of buying a whole new mirror assembly. so i throw it in a bag and leave it in the back seat. the next morning i took a look and its definately not reuseable... paint was scratched/scraped off/the power assembly was snapped, all electrical wires were torn, the mirror itself was scratched. it was just not worth repairing and rather cheaper to just buy the whole new assembly.
so i take it to auto world and my insurance adjuster takes a review on my vehicle. about a month later, my car was finally fixed from a side mirror and major dents all over the fender. i must say, there service was horrible. everytime i called, they keep telling me to check back in 5 days. i called probably a total of 10 times just to check when my car is gonna be done. so after a month of calling every 3-5 days, i decided to just show up and suprised. and let me tell ya, i was suprised... my car wasnt even touched! so the shopkeep tells me the car will be done in about 3-5days. so i come back it and yes its done.... but im thinking "wow, i bet this was a rushed job". and i can definately tell it was. there was still various dings left over on the body and guess what?! they took the fcuked up mirror i left in the bag in the backseat and used it! the first thing i noticed was that the mirror would vibrate on the highway. i know for a fact its not a new mirror as promised on the bill estimate. but im ok with that, but that was a shady move of theres. they even had the nerve to reuse my small convex circle mirror using adhesive. the dame convex mirror fell right off once it got heated in the bay. the only thing i was satisfied with is the paint they did. it was excellent but the dings ruined it.

since its getting long, ill make cliff notes til then:

-autoworld body and frame shopkeep is shady because he doesnt standby his bill estimate (used my banged up mirror instead of saying he'll buy a new one from the dealer as stated in the bill)
-bad customer service, always avoids me
-took forever for a job that could've been done in 1-2 week tops
-the repairs still had dings leftover
-they left swirles all over the finish after washing it. (used a rough towel to dry car... i know for a fact because i know my detailing well enough and its a new car: 2004)


Auto World Body & Frame gets a thumbs down from me.



i would go back and bitch all i want, but i been busy lately since i got this job. so rely on this car every single day.


beaware of this body shop if you guys come here fellas. dont turn out like me... an unsatisfied customer

Sorry to hear that man. You should contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair and file a complaint.

You should also ask your insurance company for a "service first" or an approved body shop.

I wouldnt have drove the car out of there!! It is not right and they need to make it right...should be a new mirror and all dings should be removed!!! Just my .02!!
