Your thoughts on Meets?
Hey Guys,
The meet was a good meet, we had good turnout and some fun.
I was thinking of planning a meet somewhere in the central valley, I was thinking around Stockton/Sacto or in between, we seem to have a lot of peeps around there. Maybe some BBQ and stuff like that...
But I wanted to know how often people like meets, or would attend. I know we all have lives beyond this site and our cars, but it's just a thought.

j/p.. i say you just throw one whether its a big turn out or not. I dont know i personally prefer the small meets over the big meets anyway. I remember when we used to have meets every 2-4 weeks. i think it averaged to about 15-20 cars each which wasnt too badd. its not even really about cars anymore, its more of just a bunch of friends hanging out.

Rep Power: 318 meets shouldn't be TOO often, as so everyone would see each other's rides too often to talk about anything after a while. should set up a series where meets and tech days alternate. therefore, you get together to work on cars, and then after a little have a day to show it off!

I think we should do more at meets than stand around in a parking lot all night. I agree... smaller meets are better, but the occasional big meet is nice too. If people actually talk outside of their clique, then yes, it's cool meeting new people but that rarely happens.. also, I'd like to do something at a meet... if it's a BBQ set up a volleyball net... or have a meet at a pool hall or RPM (indoor kart racing).. like I've tried to do...
Anyway... that's my two cents... if someone's planning a meet, let me know... my calendar is packed since I'm involved with 13 different groups, but it could fall on a free weekend.. lol

Rep Power: 0 we should have a go cart racing meet... i heard theres one where you have to have L's to drive the go-cart... its some where in the south bay off 101 i think... anyone know what im talking about.. i think its called malibu?(SP)
