hella hazy here in richmond/san rafael area too. it was completely smokey here a couple days ago, almost like a foggy day.

ok from davis looking east there is a fire in the mountains of el dorado county, and is 12,900 acres and 40% contained..
now looking north west from davis into the mountains north of lake barryessa there is the largest fire of the year in the state of ca burning it has gone for about 39,138 ACRES and is 87 % contained and that is where all the smoke you are seeing is comming from, the smoke is going as far south as hollister
