No the JDM motors would never pass the smog check. Some people used to have hook ups on getting fake smog certificate, but don't think it would work anymore since they recently changed the whole smog system.

- ECU (PRC)
- Stock Motor Mounts
- Alternator
- Starter
- Clutch
- Flywheel
- Intake Manifold
- Exhaust Manifold
- Fuel Rail
- Injectors
- Distributor
- Engine Harness
- Sensors
- Civic EP3 radiator
- Type S/R front axles (for 5-lug wheels if you want DC5 brakes)
- Civic EP3 front axles (if you plan on keeping 4-lug wheels)
- Intake
- Exhaust
Don't use the stock motor mounts... thankfully that's already been clarified.
I believe HASport also has front axles of their own if you don't want to use the stock ones. I'm not 100% sure on that.
Oh yeah - you're gonna need a key, too.
(forgot, you're gonna need an intake and an exhaust because it doesn't come with them. It should come with the cat converter.)

With the new ECU to control the K20A, the Ignition immobilizer resistance value is preprogrammed for the original key for the donor vehicle. Since keys & locks/ignition devices are not included in most swaps, you will have to tow the car to a honda dealer to have them reprogram the ECU to recognize YOUR key and it's resistance value. Be prepared to show that you acquired the K20A legitimately...

I just did this swap on my car. I spent 7G's out the door, with instalation. Had a front clip purchased for 5500, and then orderd a few parts here and there so i didnt have to do a 5 lug convertion. *yet*. Its pretty labor intensive, but once it is done it is well worth it. 220hp, running perimum octaine gas, oh yeah.. *yeah and you have to run premium, cause it is the octane equivalents to japans 100 octaine.* just be prepared to shell out a few bucks, and have some down time with your car.
