Roadkill...
Okay, so I'm cruising on I-5 north through Stockton, somewhere around the Ben Holt exit, about 1am Thursday night... the car in front of me changes lanes quickly and I see what looks like a white shopping bag blowing acoss the road...
With legs. The Possum sees my car cruising towards it, turns towards me and attempts to change direction, back the way it came. With the car in front of me now slowed down in my right side, I couldn't swerve there. I didn't have time to check my left side, but I attempted to gently drift there anyways... TOO LATE. A bone crunching sound and a violent bump on the left tires of my car announce that I have officially killed (I rightfully presume) my first animal while driving, that I know of.
Possums are nasty creatures, totally disgusting, but still I'm not happy that I ran over one. I'm not into killing any of God's creatures without a reason... I'd rather it had gone it's way and I mine, but he wanted to play chicken with a civic and he lost.
Got any roadkill stories, whether in a civic or not? Post 'em here!

Rep Power: 489 I've had a deer hit the car I was in at around 55 mph. Knocked a hole in the car and left some of it's fur stuck in the fiberglass.
What car were you driving when you hit that deer? I was in a minivan...

2001 civic lx -
1 dog - dead
3 squirrals - 1 dead, 2 dazed and confused
1 rattle snake - dead
1 cat - dazed and confused
1995 f250 diesel power stroke:
1 deer - dazed and confused
8 squirrals - 5 dead, 3 dazed and confused
3 rattle snake - 3 dead
1 jackrabbit - dazed and confused
i also made roadkill outa roadkill in my civic. i was following a truck and didnt seet he deer in the middle of the road. the truck was high enough it just stratled it. i saw too late to swerve so i stratled it too. not a pretty sound, but nothin happened so it was all good.
