Has anyone gone turbo on an EX here?
Has anyone gone turbo on an EX here?
I have an EX and want to buy the SF kit, but I haven't heard any news ( good or bad ) on how the kit performs on the EX. There is tons of info about the kit for the LX and I think that a couple of you have the SF kit for it. Anyone have the EX kit?
If anyone knows if the EX kit has performed as well as the LX kit
( performance & reliablility ) please let me know. So far it seems that there hasn't been any major issues with the LX kit, and the ones that have come up were addressed immediately and fixed. I need to make sure the kit runs problem free before I drop 3k.

Thanks for the response, I can't wait to hear your feedback once you get your kit installed. What local shop are you going to have maintain your kit, if and when you have a problem?
p.s. stop post whoring my thread. lol.

Whar part of alameda? I live in Alameda too and I will keep an eye out for him. If anyone knows him, could you ask him to post some info about his set-up and if he has had any problems.

you should come to a nor cal meet after the 25th of this month, ill show you my turbo set up lol. also ill show you my nitrous set up and my strobe show if you want to see thoses also LoL
I don't see why one wouldn't want to boost an EX just cuz it's not an LX. I never thought the SF kit would have some complications with turboing an EX engine... hope it doesn't become an issue.

DX and LX are 9.5:1
HX and EX are: 9.9:1
.4 more compression is not that big of a deal and you should know the HX shares the same ratio as the EX (or is higher than the DX/LX) since it is equipped with VTEC.
