12 pm: Meet @ Denny's @ Serramonte (eat, meet people)
1 pm: Roll to Sear's Point @ Sonoma (race, watch)

Hey !

I just wanna invite everyone into a mini meet on Wednesday, August 13th.

Okay, here's the plan.. At 12 noon, we will all meet up at the parking lot at Denny's in Serramonte.

We will have time to eat lunch and get to know each other within an hour. By 1 pm, everybody should be getting ready to roll in their cars on the way to Sear's Point in Sonoma. Each of us will be assigned with a car in front of you to follow all the time until we get to Sear's point. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to follow that assigned car in front of you coz' if you lose them, everybody behind you will be lost.

There is only one rule, and that is there is STRICTLY NO RACING ON THE FREEWAY! We will keep a certain speed of 65-70 mph. So we wont leave anyone behind. Anybody who tries to cut anyone in front of them or speed up, will be left alone without the whole crew. We're doing this so that we wont get in trouble.

So, expect that we'll get to our destination at around 3pm. So anybody who wants to race could race legally and safely at sears point. The only fees are $10 per person who is not racing or $20 per car who is going to race. So it's your option. Plus the the fee for the toll gate at Golden Gate Bridge, which is $5.

So please let me know who is down for this meet/mini car show/race by this Friday, August 1stT. And please invite as many people as you want, weather they're racing or not, just for the hell of it you know. I'm sure that this will be fun.

Count me in... although it sucks that by then I'll have tires on not meant for drag racing.

No not really. What Zell told me, there are a lot of other cars there that are dialing in 18's and I believe even 19's. Not only that, at least you get to know your car. And also I believe it would be a bracket race or at least I'm hoping so.

That's not to say that there aren't cars easily hitting 15s, 14s, 13s, 12s, 11s, and in some cases 10s... as there are. But since most likely you'll be going against other imports, you won't have to worry about losing too badly if that worries you.

But it's not even about losing or winning. People don't always come there to compete. You can just drag race your car in a controlled enviornment for fun and see how fast your car is in a straight if you care. What I was saying to Edgard was just because you drive a Civic with Civic power doesn't mean you'll be the slowest car at the track. It's all about having fun and you can also check out some nice cars you most likely won't get to see at car shows. For example, you might be lucky to find that 12 second Type R there. It looks like ****, but I saw it run a 12.4 which to say the least is impressive for such a car with a B18C5.

i've seen people race 20 second minivans. a lot of people just go there to have fun and see what they run. i want to go but not sure if i can. i want to see if i can change my name to 17secQuarterMile.

a-lot of rules for just driving up there though, we drove up there on Sunday and did it without any issues and without any "rules"
