hey dude, when are you gonna take me for a spin?
I didn't know asians could fly for the air force. I thought the whole 9-11 attack changed the requirements or something.
How difficult was it to become a pilot? What other aircraft do you fly?
edit: I pulled 0.2g in my civic....at full throttle! Mad adrenaline rush...

I wanted to go Active Duty in Air Force but they won't let me, cuz they said they don't take past military experienced soldiers, I was ready to go and they shot down my dreams... sux I joined the army reserve first, oh well, M-16's, Hummers and Blackhawks are still cool.
7.9 Gs is crazy
could you even lift a finger? haha, i remember this one video of a guy in a centrifuge-like machine
and it spun around so fast his heart couldn't take it and he fainted. the funniest part is the millisecond before his head drops onto his chest, he has the funniest expression on his face
you have to see it to think it's funny

i could be wrong, but anything up near 6 or 7+ Gs is crazy. i had trouble lifting my arms during the drop, but i don't think they felt SIX times as heavy. anyway, that ride is awesome. plus the line that day wasn't too long Originally posted by hassoomi
i thought the number was more like 3 Gs

went like 15 times in a row because the line was so short
In fighters you can pull 9+gs. You dont black out from the blood leaving your heart, like someone earlier said. Its because the force is so strong the blood is pulled toward your feet and leaves your brain. As this happens you start to loss color vision. Then you get severe tunnel vision. Then you pass out. Fighter pilots where G-suits. Its like an air pladder that inflates around their legs to keep the blood in their upper body. They are also other techniques to help from passing out.
USAFStud, You are lucky. Embry riddle has the largest detachment under the USAFA and barely any of our rotc people got rides. After 9-11 no one got rides at luke. I hope you had fun!
