It's a easy to get ur back end to slide around...recommended only in empty parking lots or those kinds of places.
u put 2 plastic trays (from mcdonalds, taco bell, all those places) and put them under ur rear tires. Make sure ur handbrake is on, then press the gas and turn ur steering wheel. The civic drift with no grip.
oh yea, i heard it screws up ur car, uhmm i think it was the transmission...

haha... thats crazy stuff.. first time i've heard of this before... well for one thing the place has to be big with no light posts or anything, and people would have to go one at a time while the rest park far...

i just posted one above...
ya hard part is finding a parking lot where we can do it. anyone want to take the responsibility of finding one? it would be best if we could actually get permission so that we dont get hassled by the cops. tell them we'll give them credit on this site(and maybe even streetsportsonline.com if fredy's willing to do coverage which i'm sure he would). the advertisement might help convince them.
but ya if anyone can find a big enough parking lot, that would be great

Ya I went tray sliding last Friday night. I was a lil worried about cops so I just turned my lights off. I took 2 Coke six pack trays from the back of Rite Aid. They were right by the drive thru Pharmacy. It was my first time doing it and I was getting the feel for it. Find smooth ground. Maybe wet it down before you do it so there is less friction. I should of tray slid when it rained wed but I waited so my friends could see it. I think if you put a piece of wood on top of the tray so when you slide, the trays wears out evenly and not just in the middle
Have some friends help you back onto the trays. I had to have some friends hold the side of the tray so they wouldnt slide. I prob did 5 or 6 turns before the tray wore out. I believe I drifted one time and did 2 180's and a 360
Hopefully I get some more trays and do it again. I might do it tommorow night at a friends Birthday party.
here is a site with some helpful info.

Go to big lots or pick and save or other discount store and get some metal cookie sheets.
they should last longer and make some cool looking sparks.
that would be tight on video.

Did it last fall in the parking lot k of Cal Poly. Tray was gone after about 5 turns. Kinda glad it wear out since the campus police came. I just pretended that i had some trouble with the car to bullshit about the the burning smell.
