yeah, but you will still have to pay the fine. when i got mine, i was goin 63 in a 45, andmy fine was like 130 or something. took traffic school and it didn't go on my record. just make sure that you don't get any more speeding tickets in an 18 mo period, or else you can't go to traffic school.

You might not even have to show up to court. THey might send u a letter saying taht if u pay, you dont have to how up but then you;d have to request traffic school. Hope this helps

My friend got a ticket for doing a 62 in a 55. He was coming down from Crest by El Cajon, and the cop was going up the hill and my friend was going down it. Then the cop turned around and pulled my friend over. I think its stupid that he got a ticket for going 62. The cop should of let him off with a warning because this is the first time he got a ticket. Maybe it was because my friend was driving his Camaro with the T tops off with his kragen style Racing Seat covers. Plus because he had Idaho plates. Its his car to drive and he said he wont register it in California because of the emissions laws or what not. Its funny because on two occasions, Dan raced 2 people down Broadway in El Cajon and he did not get pulled over. The first time, he raced a Modified ranger, and the other time when we were RICE hunting, we blew by a CRX but then the CRX tried to fly by us so my friend Gunned it.

i got a ticket in newport beach going 89 in a 55. not too smart. my ticket was close to $500 w/ traffic school. the cop gave me a break because he could have arrested me for reckless driving.

Am i suppose to wait for them to send me a letter or do i HAVE to go to court? Maybe they'll lower the fine since it's my first ticket?

For me they city gave me a list of approved traffic schools and approved traffic schools over the net. I guess you can go to the court house and ask.

i actually got a ticket for exsesive lane changing and i had gottena ticket less then 18 mounths ago. i just wrote the judge a real simpathetic letter and reduced my fine from 350 to 104 and she let me take traffic school even thought i wasnt eligible because my 18 mouths hadent been up since my last ticket. if you plead traffic school your insurance wont know u got the ticket and your rates wont go up unless u dont attend traffic school good luck wit the whole thing

You shouldnt take advice from a forum when it comes to a speeding ticket. I believe you should find out for your self. Because its your driving record, not ours.
