i was there.....i was cruisin the parking lot for ever looking for people. i was the silver civic with the logo on teh windshield....i only saw 2 other rides, a black civic and a blue one with flames on teh window.....i was pissed cuz i didn't see anyone else, so i bailed.

Edit: i drove all teh way up there and noone was there....buncha flakes!!!! the next meet should be in a place that isn't so packed, and we can actually see the cars and park next to em and check em out and stuff......thats what i thought we were gonna do today until i got to the lot and saw like 400 million cars parked......

i dont know who the F*#$ chose dave n busters on a saturday, knowing that the parking lot was freakin fulled with all those people. bunch of muthaf(*&*ing flakers!!! i give credit to those to DID go. i was there for about 2 hours looking for people. i only saw a silver coupe on some silver rims. i was parked about 10 cars down (blue sedan). i drove for an hour to see no one. who ever organized this **** needs to get his/her a$$ probed by my size 12 foot!! i even drove to dromo one looking for people. for the next one, I WILL organize it. i will post something up soon in the "general rambilngs" forum. keep posted.

hmmm... looks like the meet didn't turn out that well. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG] Go figure though seeing as how all the SoCal meets have gone south... I think that we should do this for the next meet. Find a place, look at the cars for a little bit and then go do something nearby as a group... just my opinion 'cause that way the people that do show up have something to go do... plus you can only look at cars for so long.

Was there even a person that took charge of the meet. Last I saw, there was just suggestions. The best thing for a meet is for someone to actually take down names, and numbers of those who are going to show for sure. If out of those who put their name in dont go, post and talk as much as you want about them. As for the last meet, sorry it did not go well. Sucks you all had to drive for basicly nothing, espically those comming from san diego, I know it is a long drive. Hopefully something can be worked out where all came join and attend. If someone is able to step up and make something happen, then we will be good. I will speak to my team growing out of this site and maybe we will be able to get a meet going for us here in southern cali. I am not making any promises so do not hold against me. I do hope we can all come together and try to have a great meet. One without money collecting, raffles, and that crap. Just chilling, talking, about cars, and doing something as a group. it wasn't so much irvine as it was the chosen/designated parking lot. i think what we need is to have a spot that is easily found, and with parking that is not full all the time, like a fast food place, or a restaurant. that way we can meet up, check out the cars, maybe cruise or we cango our separate ways, this meet location was ok, i think, but maybe what we expected was too much. so instead of all socal members gettin together, maybe we should have different sections meet. like san diego can geta meet goin thats close to san diego, and la members can get a meet thats close to la. then we can successful meets i think. just a suggestion.....we could try it again....like in early june.....and we can meet at the beach, since thats easy to find.........

MEET at the Irwindale Speedway. .easy to spot and easy to find. . .D DAY 2001 was held there. . can't MISS It. . let's have a meet there around June 9th, i think thats a sat. . . .soo we can all meet there then reace LEGALLY for 20 bucks all day!? I'll take charge and plan the next meet with the help of like another person. . . just need some backup if you want to even have a meet and RACE, see your 1/4 times.. etc etc. .

Those are 1/8 times arent they? Had them going at the swift show, I asked a guy who posted a 9.6 if it was 1/4 and he told me naw they are 1/8 times.

ya the ones at irwindale are the 1/8 mile..ive been there a couple times, its pretty tight over there i like it alot. You can squeeze..you can run straight pipes....no cats...anything and they dotn care really...its tight over there too the anouncer makes fun of u...its tight..i saw we throw a meet down there, that would be hard!! IM with PROdigy..

I talked to my friend about it. . .and he said he was down to plan a meet down there. . Him and I are going to go down there soon to check the place out, get directions, info and stuff. IF we do have a meet, we plan to bring other cars along. . but it's mostly HOPEFULLY going to be just 2k1 and 2k2 civics. . but have friends come along with their cars. Also, if all goes good and we find it to be a big place and easy to find, we plan to bring some of our friends that DJ and have music along with the cars showing off. . Soo keep reading and be ready to have a civic meet!
