Re: My new ride...
i'm thinking maybe he just took off the S emblem. i think the type S has the red valve cover. Unless the previous seller got the red cover and type S wheels.

Re: My new ride...
for sure...i was thinking of doing a retrofit to this one...used 01-02 s2ks got for 12-14k 03-05 is about 14-18k and 06-09 18-37k nowadays...used 05-06 dc5s blue book at 15-19...mine was msrp'd for 18900...thats what the dealer wanted to sell it for approx...so you can get an idea of how much i got mine for...wholesale that is...
believe me i was car shopping for 2 weeks straight with no luck on an s2k...every time i find one its been in an accident or repaired or is in poor shape or if i find a clean one its too expensive for what i wanna pay...

In this economy, everyone pays below whole price.

Re: My new ride...
when it comes down to those somethings usually wrong with the car...sometimes its not sometimes it is but in any case i went through a family friend's dealership so i got financed (heh) and he had the car sitting there ready for a new owner lol...so i said yes
plus i've been running mad carfax's on vins on craigslist and most of them have some form of accident on record if its a low price...however the ones on craigslist that are clean are in the price ranges i said before...
Plus i wanted a newer car rather than a 01-03 s2k i went with the 06 so i dont have to smog. haha
and nice job on the retro...i might do that...or buy ur gf's hahahahaha

wow, didn't think you would finance. Since i spoke to awhile back, i remember you wnere't really into the idea of financing. Then again i guess lots changed, since you didn't like rsx's back then either.
actually the retro on her car was easy. You just make the bracket wide enough to fit the tsx projectors and call it a day and reseal them.

Re: My new ride...
probably about $600 for everything. $350 if you just use your oem head lights and not use a second pair like me.

Trust you'll definately see the difference of the wide beam of a hid project versus the two little V's you get with a HID kit.
As for the tune, it sounds like you had a overly agressive tune. i have a tune on my car and its just as reliable except i lost maybe 2mpg. From 22mpg to 20mpg.
