Re: Irvine Guppies meet
id paint it jade green... man i remember i was going to kswap, had the k24 long block and everything. got over it and sold it, didn't feel spending over 7k on my civic. its all good though, ill get my 350z in the spring =) and sitll have my 7thgen as a dd
Re: Irvine Guppies meet
it really depends, you can do the k24/k20 for a lot cheaper. Depends if you're good at finding parts and how lucky you are.
My swap costed me around 7-8K, but that was with lots of extras on the swap. like kpro, electronic power steering, ac installation etc. I got lots of extras bc i just got lucky.
some guy did a fully built k24/k20 for 6K. He was real good at finding used parts and piecing it together. I like brand new stuff and hate used parts, but that's me.
I also did the k20 first because i wanted ot get the car bar'd and legalized, which i did.

so you cant get the k24/k20 bar'd?
Re: Irvine Guppies meet
It can't be bar'd since it's a combination of two motors. You also have to run it with KPRO, which will automatically fail right there since you can't have a programmable computer.
