yeah, seriously.. I know my situation isn't that bad compared to people like Kenn that goes to UC's and Cal States, but it still hurts the pocket.

And when you do get like $40 for selling a $100+ book, they resell it for like $80-90 used.. so wrong. Registered!!

Re: CA Unofficial Whoring Thread!
dang that sucks. Yeah, i remember arnold raised tutition to double the price the last two yrs i was in school. I can't imagine how high it is now. once you max your cal grant and other grants, i would try to get some subsidized loans.
Don't worry about the loans, the interest is tax deductible. Once you consolidate the loans when you graduate you get 15-30yrs to pay it off depending on the amount.

Re: CA Unofficial Whoring Thread!
well i doubt most people get enough grant money to really pay income tax anyways. As a student you get some deductions and tax credits, so usually you pay nothing. Unless you want to pay into the government ponzi scheme called social security.

Re: CA Unofficial Whoring Thread!
To be honest, the IRS usually doesn't audit people who make less than $100k a yr. Unless there's something weird in your balance sheet like you claming to make $25k a yr and own a $500k house.
I would take a intro to tax accounting class. Its boring as crap, but you learn a lot of interesting info.
