I have only one copy of my key, the other copy's ive lost. i called up honda, and they said that they would need to make a copy of the master key and reprogram the chip that is located in the key itself. is this true i didnt know there was a "chip" in the key.

yes, there IS a chip in the keys that needs to be programed.

otherwise, if you just have a key cut, without programming, all you can do is open doors.
