how much is it to see the referee? i dont think its fair that misinformed cops can ticket for whatever they want and we have to invest time and money because of them.

its not so much misinformed as it is a power trip on import cars. they dont like a certain type of car so the stereo type it and harass all owners. this doesnt happen to muscle cars. people cant think outside the box. cops in socal love to have the upper hand. when my wife got pulled they actually asked her if she was on paroll or probation. she is a hottie and has NEVER been pulled over. she didnt even know he was trying to pull her over. he acted all stand offish with his hand on his gun the whole time he spoke to her. this is the same treatment i get everytime i get pulled. it gets annoying and is border line harassment by law.........

It's 30 bucks for the test and 8 more for the certificate if you pass...

If you don't pass, they might give you a free retest... that's what they did for me.

The test has two parts: smog and visual inspection. You have to pass both in order to get a certificate. Good luck....

state ref is 30-40 dollars and the ticket is 300-400 dollars... Mines was 350 or something like that
