so... i have 6 pending exhaust tickets...

i put on my stock OEM muffler, and my car is as quite as a stock d17, but once i hit vtec, you can hear it... anyways, im going to the chp office tomarrow to get those tickets written off...

should i get him to write all 6 off? or just 3 or so?

they just might do that.

or they might tell you to goto a smog test station (ie. to get your exhaust sound tested) ... sometimes they rev it up to 4k ... hope your vtec will be set high if they do that

its not loud at all, you would never know i have what i have under my hood... trust me, i can barley hear it unless i really pounce on it...

lol, not really, all my power is gone! the reason i put it back on mostly is because even with the silencer i was still getting pulled over, and you couldn't hear anything, so there was just no win/win situation... so i have a straight pipe 2.5 inch piping going into my oem muffler, im going to find a stock DC5R muffler...

i agree....get all 6. and if he asks to pop the hood....make up a clever excuse....like "my hood latch is broken and i cant pop the hood."

alot of times when you go to get your tickets signed off, they have WAY better things to do and in my case, every time i went down there....they were always in a hurry, so they just peaked at it real quick, and signed em off. Maybe youll get lucky.

I know a bunch of people who have gotten their hoods popped ... one of my friends has had his hood popped every single time (like 3 out of 3 times)... couple other people I know as well.

well, i got all my tickets written off... and the cop just saw my car from the window... with my stock muffler, even though i still have the DCRH and 2.5 piping...



but for the first ticket that i got, its a citation which requires me to get BAR'd. im going to put my stock header on and get my kpro tunned for stock header/cat/exhaust... we will see what happens

btw the place is in east LA, so that seems kinda shady to me...
