*shrugs* it just died... i turned my car on and the headunit wouldnt turn on. it was some kenwood, flips over when you turn on/off the car. now it just flips halfway and stays there.
i was thinking, only thing about a stock hu is there's no remote... i'm too lazy to reach over to switch stations =p. still considering it though... keep the offers coming...
btw, my dad also wants me to put a dvd system in his mini van(the kind that sits on the headliner), anyone have that or have hookups on that?

pioneer premier 940mp EL display, competition deck $260 shipped. Only problem is it needs new wire harness if you don't have an amp for the speakers. Harness doesn't have speaker wire. Deck is in great shape otherwise. I just took it out cause my interior is red now

Hey Dave I think I know what you're problem is. The reason why I say this is because my Kenwood did the same. One day I had put a CD in to play, then all of a sudden the radio just died, and I was like WTF?!?!?! I tried everything, and nothing worked. I have a eXcelon flip over stereo. Mine acted like it was going to turn on but it didn't. And sometimes it would flip over completely but didn't turn on and other times it would just flip over only half-way and still won't turn on.
Anyways, I found out that it might be the flex cable (it's a brown cable that you might see when the faceplate flips around). It's way cheaper than buying a new radio. You have to solder some pieces and that's it, but I see that you're freakin' lazy to reach out and change stations with your hand, so I'm not even sure if you would consider this fix, ha ha!
