Talking First hurricane experience!!!

Since Hurricane Katrina is in CAT 5, New Orleans will be destoryed for the first time since 69, and I'm going to experience a hurricane for the first time in my life. The west eye is going to hit my area and winds will be 100+ MPH by tomorrow morning, and a possibly of a tornado developing afterwards. I miss Cali and its earthquakes. I'll give you guys the updates of what will happen, if I do not reply by tomorrow, that means that there will be power shortages. I just hope the trees around here wouldn't land on my car, that would suck jip.

Ok everyone, just to let ya'll know that I manage to survive. The house is running on a generator and the phone line just got on today. The water got on yesterday but its running on a generator to pump it until the main power plant is repaired. If you look on the map of Mississippi, I'm near McComb, when Katrina arrived, winds went up to 125 MPH. The wall of the eye caused a tornado and tore the living shiet out of the pine trees, which caused it to fall as some of you can say. The damages were pretty bad and the reason why I say that is because some of the houses around here lost their roofs, huge **** trees fell through it, some sheds were tore up, telephone poles and wires got tore the fuked up and the trees blocked the roads. On Tuesday morning, I end up helping my neighbors cut and move the pine trees out of the road. Of course we had a tractor, ATV's and other neccessities to get the job done. While we were doing our part, others in other parts of the community were doing their part as well. It basically took the whole day to clear the road, just enough for a car to go through because gas was like gold. On Wednesday morning, I decided to go into town and take a look, in the down town area, roofs were flown off, electrical wires were hanging low where a truck can't go through other than making their own paths off the road and I can't really explain it all but picture it like the scenes in the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" The National Guard and Air Force has been providing the community with food and water a week after the hurricane. The Baptists churches here as well. Several days ago in Hattiesburg (A city 40 miles east of my location), shot his sister in the head for a bag of ice, a couple of days later, someone killed a fuel trucker and hi jack the truck, a day after that, desperate people end up killing eachother for gas, and generators. Now the new word is, they're poking holes in gas tanks of cars to retrieve gas. Don't ask me how I manage but all I can say is what Uncle Sam thought me, is what kept me alive.

Good to know that you're on standby there Frank. Good luck though, you gotta see how bad it is down here.

As my message to everyone else, I just got back from Houston. I evacuated there for a week because we don't really know when we're going to have electricity back. But sometime this week, it was up and everythin seems to be back to normal. I thought about working for FEMA down in the Biloxi area to help clean up and rebuild...everyone is helping everyone, I guess thats why they called Mississippi the Hospitality State.

PS

Theres another hurricane heading this way. I just hope it wouldn't make the same path as Katrina did.
