If you travel on I-5...
Hey guys,

The CHP and local police are combining to hit I-5 *HARD* today. It was in the news and papers and radio and all that, but just in case, I thought I'd let you know.

ANYONE going over 70 *WILL* be ticketed, so keep it around 65. Even 1 mph over will get a ticket (or so they claim)... FYI.

I know most of you have heard this already, but if it saves one 7thgen'er from getting a ticket, then it's worth it

cause its like a 300 mile straightaway from norcal to socal.

isnt the speed limit on highway 5 70mph though ?

its 70mph between citys and typically 65 in town. they are doing it on 5 because when i was goin down to stockton from sac on mon everyone was doin 80-90 with less than 4 car lengths between vehicles.

^Yup! Cars typically travel very fast on 5. It *IS* going with the flow of traffic, but it can get really bad sometimes there...

so anyone going as much as 1 mph over the posted speed will be ticketed. So basically, CYA.

there is always gonna be a 5 mph variance ... the uncalibrated radar guns, inaccurate speedos, and other variables will give room for error.

eh ... scare tactic.
