I just wanted to let you all know that my buddy Kevin beat the Hell out of a SRT-4 Tonite at Race Legal at Quaalcom Stadium. He drives a 2005 Tafetta White Si. He has added JAckson Racing Race headers, New motor mount bushings, and a Greddy Evo 2 Exhaust.

Rep Power: 0 It was his first time of actually racing and with an N/A car that is a pretty decent kill. Doesn't matter who the driver was, he still won.

Rep Power: 0 aparently you guy's don't know much about racing at qualcom.
1) it's only 1/8 mile
2) fwd cars can kiss their times goodbye.
3) you launch on this plastic pad thing. a 2.3 60' on street tires is considered really good for a fwd car.
4) RT could play a big role there. their tree criss crosses as it drops. confuses alot of first timers. (happened to me even on my first time)
thats why I asked what time his friend ran. my best time ever there on streets was 9.2 @ 77 mph. irwindale I run 8.9's @ 80mph same setup. it's very possible for srt's to hit high 9's at qualcom and even 10's with a noob driver. putting it well in range of an SI. mainly cause they can't get off the line or catch traction down the track.
so yeah, I think it's possible. I just wanna know the times of the SI to see just how bad the srt was doin.

Rep Power: 0 I've driven an SRT-4, they aren't THAT fast and it has a lot of turbo lag until about 25-2700rpms... I think that a slightly modded SI could win. Good stuff.

real racing is in the curves.
edit: before anyone says it, i know professional drag racing takes lots of talent and i'm not taking away from that. just not my cup o' tea.
