Hey Guys,
Just wanted to warn you all of the ""click it or ticket" campaign. I got a seatbelt ticket today on my way to my first day of work... I pulled out of the parking lot of the place (a non-profit organization that helps low income people, mind you), and was just parking on the street no more than 15 yards away, but the cop still didn't care and gave me a ticket.

Do you guys know how much this kind of ticket goes for ($75?); also, is this a moving violation, i.e., an insurance point?

yeah i got two of them... my 2nd time was a similar situation. I take off my seat belt when parking and he happened to catch me. its only like $35 i think, and its not a moving violation.

its like 25 for your first offense, then goes up. From the last time I remember, I got 2 tickets, one for not wearing seatbelt in the front and one in the back. It raises each time you get another ticket. If you get 3, supposedly you get a point on your record.
