Got pulled over last night
well, I guess the rsr exhaust is louder than cops would like it to be. either that, or it's the lack of a cat that enhances the dbA levels. 
anyway...
I was at tustin marketplace w/ my gf last night driving around, trying to decide where to eat ... then while pulling into a mini-mall-ish complex, we see two cops had pulled over some older car ... I don't even know what it was.
while driving around the same complex, we see another cop pass right by us.
then we exited the complex and decided to go somewhere else ... then a cop got behind me and proceeded to do what cops do best. so I pulled over in a parking lot and he asked for my license and registration and asked me if I knew that I had a modified exhaust (
what's that you say?... mod-eee-fiied?). I pulled out my license and noticed that I had a gaping hole where my headunit used to be ... then he asked what happened to my radio, so (instead of saying "I took it out and sold it so I could pay for a japanese rsx engine), I said that it was stolen and he's like "bummer..." then walked off (without my registration)
he came back about 3 min later and said "well, you got your radio stolen, I don't want to give you more bad news, so I'm not gonna give you a ticket. have a good night"
good cops are cool. didn't even pop my hood

Rep Power: 403 ummm... yea... lucky *** foo... but there isn't anything in ur car.. haha.. sold radio for JDM engine, he would have given u a huge *** freaking ticket, i know... it really sucks not having a radio... so i put my stocky in, oem OWNS

What kind of a cop asks you if your exhaust is modified?? Did the exhaust gnome come at night and put it on while you were sleeping?

my buddy got pulled over running catless in his wrx last week and got a $2500 dollar ticket. you got off way lucky.
did you get motor yet? I probly asked you already but are going to boost or n/a. Im saving a bit right now for either bolt ons and cams with pnp or save more for turbo. so many choices, lol

Rep Power: 362 ouch. 2500? ... you know, compared to how much I've spent, that almost seems like pocket change 
I'm going n/a ... there's no way I would go turbo with a k20 ... too much torque = not enough traction. I had too many problems with my sf turbo that kinda made me get over turbos real quick. you're fast on the track with slicks, but what about those times where you pull up next to an sti or evo mr that wants to run?
