yea i saw the dynos and they took me to the shop and the msatp rooms
aha its funny cuz i went to the vw room first and then they showed me the benz room and its a lot nicer.

i think im gonna go for the bmw step program after grad.
i cant believe porsche only takes 28 people a year!

Well, like I told Dann, first thing you gotta do is take a tour of the place. Call up UTI and set up an appointment. They assign you an advisor and you take a tour, packets, more info.

I can give you my point of view:
I like UTI. I think I made a great decision by comming here. Your not in the lab(shop) everyday, but, the day you go, your basically there all day. You do have to work. Its kinda like school but not with math or english or any of that. Theres some book work. Studying for tests. There are some days where your in class ALL day just starring up at a Power Point lesson and learning and taking notes. There are other days where you bring your car in and check stuff out in what your learning in class at the moment.

You said you wanted to go to BMW. Im not saying your not because it can happen. BMW, Audi, Volvo, etc are all called "CTG" programs. You have to go through the courses that UTI gives you first. A bit before graduation, you have to apply to one of these CTC programs. You get interviewed by the head honchos of these things and they determine if they want you or not. You gotta have good attendance(lots are 98% or better) and a good GPA(some require you to have a 3.5 or better) and they want your driving record. It doesnt have to be clean, but it cant be bad. The only problem is that they only take a certain amount of people. Take Porsche for example, they only take 14 students for their classes. 14 students out of ALL campuses around the U.S. You gotta be good.

Theres only so much that I can explain, but, to get a better point of view on things, its best to just take the tour and ask an advisor for more stuff. Like right now, I have a 97% attendance and a 3.96 GPA. Im shooting for Audi.

hey UTI civic thanks alot for that info. my buddy is starting in march and he said they have an open house march 5th so im thinking of going two that and then go from there.

Its all day I think. Go like around 12 I guess. They'll probably bring out all the cool cars we have in storage. We have a Lightning, a SVT cobra, a Jetta that dynoes at 670hp, a Trans Am with a built LS6 motor making like 875hp....the Trans Am belongs to this guy thats almost graduating.

yea i went to the open house yesterday it was cool i liked it and im going to think about it if i start it will be in june

im also going to chex out wyotech in fermont but i think i will go to UTI becaues of the name and how there only automotive school...
