New 05 5speed coupe - Value of your auto coupe = about what a swap will cost.

Better off trading in your car now for a new manual transmission.

The dealer will pay off the loan on the car and whatever negative equity (forgot what it is called) will be transferred over to the price of the new car's loan.

So the money you lose from trading in the car will be added to the new loan you are getting.

The money you lose out on is probably what the transmission swap would have cost. Plus with a swap you lose warranty which might add up later.
So for the price of a swap you just got a brand new car WITH warranty.
