I Can't STOP Biting MY NAILS!!!! okay i've had this nervous habit ever since i was like 8-10... i'm 21 now and not matter what i've tried, i still can't kick the habit....
i tried replacing the nervous habit by smoking but that's really not healthy and it's getting really expensive... soooo... i need some suggestions from my socal family...
How the hell do i stop for good? They're starting to look really gross..

that never worked for me...
i bite my nails to when im nervous. and i pay for my FAKE ONES! still cant break the habit!

Rep Power: 351 There is a clear nail polish that you can buy that makes your nails taste like crap. You put it on, nobody can tell (great if you are a guy like Daniel) and doesnt smell or anything. You dont even know that its there until you go to bite your nail and get welcomed with some sort of vile taste. I dont know firsthand unfortunately, I never bite my nails.

Rep Power: 279 lol this is a common problem i see it every day (since i am a manicurist).... there is a formula that you can spray or paint you nails with, like nodnero said. i forget the name of it but you can get it at rite aid, sav-ons ect.... it tastes really bad like you ate dog **** or something but it works......i had the same problem b4 i became a manicurist

getting slacked wont always work either. i know by experience.. not my own.. but *ahem*
i used to bite my nails. then got braces. kicked my habit because i couldnt get to the nails.. haha.. and had the braces for years.. but unless you willing to fork out a thousand or more. then i suggest you do this.. hahaah..
other than that.. keep the nails short enough that you cant bite them..

Rep Power: 279 lol i am a nanny i am a manicurist as well i am fully certified and work in salons on the weekends and i have my own maicurist business where i come to you and do your nails......got to make that money some how....

i bite the **** out my thumbs...bite till they effing bleed....or till it hurt so bad that i cant bite them anymore....and the cycle starts again after it heals.
but yea, i only do that when im thinking at school
