apple.com i have to say i like the powerbooks but not too much of a fan of the os's they have...try www.notebookshop.com its owned by my dads friend and client
but heater bypass and throttle cable mods are free ;P
imo heater bypass does benefit. I don't care what anyone says ... if I can physically feel the heat difference on my intake, then that is enough for me.
john: I think you only meant boost.
technically with a swap, you wouldn't be doing anything with the d17 except taking it out, right? ;P

I FOUND MY NEXT SET OF TIRES!!!
well, currently I have 225/45/17 Michelin Pilot Sport 2's and I was never planning on getting any other tire except that one from now on ... except now, I think I found a tire that I may want for the near future!
Yokohama Advan Neova AD07's
Here's a test that tirerack.com did with it and a couple other tires: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/...ova_ad07_c.jsp
I was considering getting the BFG T/A KD's ... but it seems that the Neova's outperform it in just about every test.
The last set of tires I had on my car were the 215/40/17 Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's ... yes, I like those tires and they performed well, but since there wasn't much sidewall, it didn't provide the straight traction that I needed for my car.
According to tirerack.com, the width of the actual tread is 7.2 inches for the 215/40/17 Goodyears and even for the 225/45/17, the tread width is listed as 7.7 inches ... HOWEVER, tirerack also lists the Advan AD07's 225/45/17 tread with as a whopping 8.5 inches!! <3 <3
Unfortunately, the tread width for my current Michelin's are not listed ... but I can only assume it is not that great ... since I compared the tread width of my 215/40/17 Goodyears to my 225/45/17 Michelin's and they were nearly the same.
Pros (over the Michelin's):
- better grip (maybe)
- more tread width
Cons:
- more expensive ($178 per tire on tirerack)
- less treadwear rating (180 vs. Michelin's 220)
- 1 pound heavier per tire
although it is very expensive, traction is my friend and I will spare no expensive ... if I had a RWD car, then I probably wouldn't care as much about the tires ... but since FWD has even traction problems already, I need everything I can get without having to run drag radials or slicks on the street (fvck that)
