Unhappy For our fallen comrade...

To my brother and sisters in arms,

Just about last week, one of our OC resident who is part of the California National Guardsman has fallen in Baghdad by one of haji's most unpredictable schemes of unconventional guerilla warfare, the thing of what we call "I.E.D" (Improvised Explosive Devices). Specialist Tran, Binh Bo, 26, whose convoy was hit by one of those, basically he was wounded and passed away from it. I'm trying to keep track when his funeral will occur, although I had asked my boss if I can have a day off to attend his funeral to pay my respects and saying farewell to a brother. I had attended my neighbor's funeral up in Riverside at the Veteran's Cementary in uniform. I'm about to do the same for Binh to honor him and his family. One thing that I had learn when one of my good friend's had fallen in Iraq on 11 Feburary 2003, I cannot blame myself for his death and continue carrying the guilt that I made it home and he didn't. The only thing that we can do is to live on for our fallen comrades.
For my buddy..."Sergeant Patrick S. Tanish" who I knew for 3 years before his death, I had said one thing to him "Hey, I'll see you at home. Come home safely and we'll hang out whenever we have the time." that was the last thing I had ever said to him before he passed away in Baghdad. And of course like Binh who was going to marry someone from Italy, Patrick on the other hand had a fiancee waiting for him back at home in Oceanside, I knew he had a girlfriend but he never told me anything about getting married after he comes home.
Please attend his funeral and bring honor to him and his family my brother and sisters in arms. I will keep updating.
