Hey all! Just posting that I started a new job this week.... its actually going really well, and Im so happy about it. I went from my job at Amber Steel Company, doing accounts payable, and making about 25k a year, to being an office manager and accounts payable/receiveable secretary at this place called Paramount Disaster. This new place is in Palos Verdes, which is about 2 hours drive right now from my house, but the pay increase is worth it. Theyre paying me $46K a year, full benefits, salary, etc….. so im looking for a place in Long Beach right now… so its closer, let me know if anyone knows of a house or condo renting out. I need to have a garage tho, so Ive singled out the possibility of an apartment just for that reason! Anyways, so yeah im happy bout it, just cant ***** up 7thGen as much anymore, but its all good.

for sure! lol, yeah all hills out here, torrance is two minutes away, i actually like long beach thats why im looking for a place out there, but the whole area is cool.... i was sick of san bernardino! lol

 

yeah its ok... lol, wish i was making more, but my boss pays full medical/benefits, and takes all the employees and there familys on a cruise every year, so it all works out cool

salaried positions have upsides and downsides tho... the money is usually good with the salary but the downside is there really isn't anything like overtime... in a way, if you're on the corporate ladder, staying late = more chance for promotion
