Orange Hills is off of chapman, heh, it is is highesdt resteraunt in Orange, so if you cant find it...well, you may need glasses. haha. If you are coming from the 55, get off on Chapman going East, and just take it ALLLLL the way up, and you will see it. just make sure you bring some cash, because they have to valet your car due to lack of parking spaces, but well worth it!!
There are 2 resturaunts in Orange on the hill -- one is the Orange County Mining Company and the other is Orange Hills -- you would hit the Mining Company first if you were going up Chapman -- Orange Hills is after you start going up the large Chapman hill. Mining Company has really nice views too and isn't as expensive as Orange Hills and a lil more casual, both have good food IMO -- but Orange Hills has the "romantic type" atmosphere.
Probably no one has heard of this one but there is a resturaunt in La Habra called "Cat in the Custard Cup" that is a wonderful anniversary type resturaunt. Awesome food (really good steaks) and just a really cozy romantic atmosphere. That is where we had our prom dinner and I also took boyfriend there for his birthday this year. It is kinda on the pricey side, like $25-30 a person, but its worth it.

Yea your right I heard Gladstones is a great spot. It was on some traveling show for most romantic setting because it overlooks the beach or something like that. Ur girl would love that now I have no idea if it is pricey. Whatever you do I hope it goes well.

Orange Mining Company has cool views, but the food is no good, and service is mediocre. Also, you wouldnt hit Orange Mining from Chapman, you have to turn onto Crawford Canyon then turn left into the driveway.
Orange Hill is by-far the best in Orange. Mr. Stox is good too. there is a place in Costa Mesa called Turner's New Zealand. There food IS the best. But expect to spend at least $200 bucks with cocktails and food. The Arches in Newport beach is good too, but it is a darker, more romantic atomosphere, and some of the locals kick it there, alot of big olympic gold-medalist, and some old-school singers hang out there too.
