Hi, i just moved from bay area to OC and still unfamiliar with the place, so here is my questions. What is the common bank in OC? I have seen a lot of wamu ATMs areound the city. What is good and fun to do in OC and its area?Any recommendation on restaurant (any kind, inc. thai, chinese, western, etc)? Thank you.

Washington Mutual, Bank of America, are the ones that I hear about most commonly..I also use BofA..
As far as fun, we have 6 flags up in the LA area, Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm mere miles from one another...numerous mini-gold places, and movie theaters all over the place.
Irvine Spectrum and the Block at Orange are pretty popular places.

I'm a Wells Fargo guy. I probably see more washington mutuals around though.
Yeah, check out the spectrum. It's fun if you go with friends but it can get old easily. I used to go every weekend. There's tons of theaters if you're into movies and plenty of malls. South Coast plaza is a huge one.
What city are you in?
Oh. And welcome to the OC!

WAMU for sheezy..
bank of america has a lot of uncessary charges like that $5 fee for check cashing for non-customers. I know if you sign up with them its not a problem but it just shows how greedy they are...
WAMU offers free checking, I think BofA you need to have a minimum of $500 or something or else they charge you a fee.
you should have came out to the meet this past saturday...(or did you?)

no u can do a special thing wiht B of A and wont get charge a cent if u go under. There is no minimum balance. As long as u open a checking and savings account with them u are coo. no minimum balance. trick is that at the beginning of the month they automatically transfer 25 bucks from ur checking to ur savings. i jsut transfer it back.
Where exacly in orange county? Laguna Beach is fun to go to...theres a bunch of shops and restaurants down there.
BJ's is really good & CPK...there are a lot of those around. If you like Thai you should try Thai This in Dana Point. El Torito Grill is really good for sorta gourmet Mexican I guess you could call it...there's one in Fashion Island and one down at the Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo.
Yeah, and as far as shopping goes, South Coast Plaza's the best mall in OC (in Costa Mesa), Fashion Island is pretty and nice cuz it's outside (in Newport Beach), and the Spectrum (in Irvine) is really cool...there's shopping, a foodcourt, a huge movie theater that even Imax & some digital theaters in it, and a lot of restauraunts: Thaifoon, Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen (CPK), Maki (or maybe its Maki Maki...a pretty expensive Japanese place), Fox Sportsbar & Grill, a place w/ Mediterranean cuisine, Red Robin, the Fish Market, Dave and Buster's....okay it'll be shorter to say, they have almost anything you could want.
Have any more specific questions? haha
