Questions about getting a drop...

Hey, people. I'm coming very close to getting the Tein S-tech's from StreetLevelPerformance; however, in convincing the dad, I came across a question I could not answer: if I get into an accident, can my insurance [AAA] refuse me coverage because I did not tell them about my new springs?

Thanks for the help.

You have to read your policy contract. Usually, they will cover only what you specified when you paid for you policy. If you add on parts later, your supposed to contact your carrier so you can get added insurance for those parts. For example: I went to renew my insurance and my broker noticed my new 17 inch rims. He asked if I wanted additional coverage for the rims Beacause if they were ripped off or my car was in a crash, the insurance won't cover the rims.

I don't think they can deny a claim completely though just because you got some mods on your car. You just might not get what the cars worth cuz of all the parts you put on. Insurance companies will also try to lower your blue book value because they say after market parts are poor quality.

scarypunk has a little shameless behaviour in the past
they sure can deny a claim if you have modded suspension on your car, and most likely will
