yea so....
yea so im haveing this problem with my tranny. not sure if any of you have had the same problem. if so what was the out come? well a while ago i started getting this weird noise from my tranny. at first i thought it was the trow out bearing, then i thought the clutch was giveing out. my rpm's got slower and you can feel it slip. so i went out and bought a new one, exeddy ceramic. went to the shop and got it installed. thanks ruben and sean for the hook up
. so anywho ive had the clutch in for 2 weeks now i must say the dammm thing grabs! i chirp 3rd hehehehe rpm's climb like crazy! but i have this nasty whiney noise almost scratch noise comeing from the tranny when im in 2nd and 3rd some times in 4th. it also still makes a lil noise when in nuetral like the trow out bearing is messed up. but that got changed when the new clutch was put in. so when i press in the clutch it stops. im takeing it to a shop this week to see if they can tell me what it is. i wanted to ask here first to see if anyone has had this problem.

yup you have the sames problem Ive had...there r a few worn out parts in the tranny, a sleav and s few sinkro's, i though it was the trough out bearing as well nd went out a nd bout a new clutch, but nope...you need to buy a new tranny bro cuz if you take that **** to honda thell tell you 1100 bucks to fixs...i went on ebay and say the tranny for 450 shipped ....needless to say i was pissed...lol. but ya...it only makes the bad bearing sound when in nutral....then you press the cluth in and you can hear it slowly stop spinning like if the bearing needs oil...when you drive you hear this whynding sound really faint...but let me tell you that **** gets hella loud bro...by the time i replaced mine i sounded like a dirt bike....so there you go

02 WRXs come from the factory with an Excedy clutch (sp?) and it grabs great, but makes a funny noise at idle and the noise goes away as you press the clutch in. maybe its normal?
