S2000 conversion in the Vic

Why hasnt any one done this conversion yet, that would be so bad *** to see the s2000 motor in a vic, i wonder what it would run. price as far as to convert over and what type of fabrication would be needed and the whole 9. could you imagine what cars you could lay down with that motor.

what dream that would be...what the HP on the s2000 motor..any one know

its not that it cant be done...its just that no one is willing to waste the money...w/ the money used for the swap you'd probably be able to buy a real s2k already...also the s2k is rear wheel drive which is going to cost a grip because the civic is fwd. but i would like to see it done.

Answer = $$$. It would be a lot quicker then a S2K due to the weight difference, but then you would have to find a bunch of different parts. Maybe some rich dude will do it one day since he will have nothing better to do then convert a FWD to RWD with a Civic.

well I know they have a kit to change the FWD FOCUS ZX3 TO A 5.0 Mustang RWD and to see that little tiny car ROAR by you is scary so i would think the s2k motor would fit in a civic and you could make it RWD but like someone said,,, its the money.

I think the S2K has something in the neighborhood of 240-250HP, but a bit over half of that in torque. I think like 175lbs of torque. Correct me if I am wrong.

Direct from Honda's website: 2004 S2000 2.2L 4Cyl 240HP@7800RPM and 162lbs of torque@6500RPM, redline at 8000. Remember torque is what actually propels your car not HP. To get the S2K moving youd have to be on a long stretch of road.

that would mean you would have to re-sheet the fire wall, cuz im sure the motor is longer then the vic ( by the way what is the size of the s2k motor to the vics...lets se you answer that one...)... also to add the drive shaft you would need to re sheet the floor panel since the newer vics didnt come with the hump. Also the rear end, i wonder how much wider or shorter it is then the vic and what it would take to bolt it up...OK WE NEED SOME TECH GUYS ON HERE...THIS IS GETTING GOOD...

Well if it's so expensive can anybody suggest an alternative engine modification with the same or better performance, but has to remain normally aspirated, ie no turbo or Nos???
