Legal Races 05/29 (Sat) Just wondering if anyone was interested in racing this weekend at the California Speedway.
When: 5/29/04
Line-up: 12:00 NOON
Opens: 2:00
Inspection: 2:00-4:00
Races StartL 4:00
Ends: 11:00 PM
Race: $20 total includes you and your car.

hopefully the full interior and new kit wont keep me from hitting 13's

Rep Power: 0 sometimes. lol I want to avoid the head wind and hopefully have one clean run last time I ran at csw I was back to stock and ran 14.8 so hopefully if I get in early like before and racing starts at 3 again I can avoid that infamous wind. lol
I was at irwindale thursday and pulled another 8.9 only I had full interior. hopefully I can repeat that at csw and get some 13's

so who was the only other 7thgen there besides me??? there was a silver 7thgen on i think 18's with the oem wing...overall it was a fun night...saw 00celica there and i was in the "VIP" section during i think your third run...who are you silver 7thgen?? i was the stock one

well my night sucked BUT my teamate was on fire!
he ran a 13.716 @ 99 mph WITH a 30 mph head wind and at 1200 ft elevation. yeah I can see him running 13.4's at a better track

my best was 14.0 @ 94 mph with same conditions. if you look at the vids I circled the flags so you can see how bad the wind was

i had a pretty shitty night too....best run was 16.4 with 2.5 60'...i really wanted to run against djmota but i was scared haha...next time...
oh and i was pretty pissed after my first run because they didn't even have time slips for us...we had to go to the tower where the lady helping us just found some timeslips for us...but i'm pretty sure i didn't run a 13.6 with a 1.9 60' time...
...so i guess she felt sorry for us and told us we could watch right next to the track...it was insane watching the two vipers going at it literally 7-9 feet from us...and the red rx-7 with no hood...WOW...and that lucas truck was crazy...sucks that we had to breathe in all the smoke coming out of it...well no more track days for me until something major is done to my car...

Rep Power: 323 You should have hit me up! it would have been a good race. Since i'm a rookie at the whole track thing. my first run was a 17.0 with a 2.654 60 ft time against a camaro ss who ran a 14.16 
. I bogged it bad, nerves are a bitch the first time youn line up.
The second was better but I spun the tires thru 1st 16.6 and a 2.537 60' against a modded 4dr ford focus. He ran a 16.99 plus i beat his reaction time by.4 seconds. good race and a nice feeling stomping a ford .
I left after the second run I didn't want to wait another 2 hours for my 3rd run. I could have done better. I need practice. I think i'll head up to irwindale for some 1/8 mile runs to get my launch technique down.
