Alarm Shop In San Diego Area!

Hey guys, i need urgent help. I have a matrix rs3.5 alarm system, and I can't get anyone to install it for me, cause its against store policy to install auto-start on a manual shift. Anyone know a place down here where they'll install this alarm for me?

If you want to drive to riverside, I will do it.

Does the alarm have a 'stop and go' feature? if so I can use a peripheral neutral safety switch on it.

You will also need a immobilizer bypass.

Remember, no matter how careful you are, it will be in gear one day when start it. It will keep trying to start an eventually hit something or someone before you have time to stop it.

My car with a broken safety switch traveled over twenty feet before I got it shut off. A friends car without a safety switch got started accidently and hit two cars.

Just prepare yourself for the consequences.

ok, here's what i don't get...i sat in my car before, with my parking brake up, and started the car not knowing it was in gear....my car jerked, and immediately stalled, and shut down...i dun get why its any different with auto start...if the e-brake is up, won't it just stall and shut down?

it will stall and remote start senses it did not start and tries again and again and again. Everytime the car moves a couple more feet forward.

How did you start the car in gear? did you bypass the clutch switch?

Yes, I install professionally.

regular alarm $75+. typical install includes s/k, lights, door/trunk trigger, shock, varad hyper bright led in blue, horn honk(if capable) dome sup(if capable), locks(if you have power, add $75 if you don't)

Remote start alarm $200 includes above and all ign and acc circuits tied to rs. Transponder bypass and nuetral safety switch extra $.

Any specific option you want?

I sell black widow security. If you see anything you like from them let me know. Their new x and z series will be out in about two weeks.

eh...i dun think that's high...if the guy knows what he's doing, that's worth it... all i hear these days is how people complain about high alarm install pricing, and how everyone will bitch after their crap gets jacked, and how the alarm was installed shittily n stuff... plan out your stuff ahead of time, pay the money IF YOU DON"T KNOW WTF YOU'RE DOING, and get the alarm installed right the first time! Or don't bitch when you get ur **** jacked again.

I'm never going to complain about spending big bucks on alarm install AGAIN...after seeing what this installer went through... geez, its like surgery man!

So all you cheapies out there, OPEN YOUR FRIGGIN WALLET, and pay for it!!!! and if you know how to do it yourself, that's a DAYAM good thing, props to ya, cause this **** ain't easy! A quote that has stuck with me after this whole alarm process is: "you can be a honor grad from cal tech, but there ain't no way you're gonna put an alarm in a car correctly!" ... lol... of course, unless you're an automechanics major.

I paid more for my alarm install than the alarm itself, and those clifford alarms ain't cheap!

remote starts are more than double the work. A remote start will take most of the day to do right. Most installers do not hook up all the acc and ign wires. They just hook up want is needed to start. I also hook up things like horn honk and dome sup that alot of shops will charge extra for.

I am not a butcher and I charge accordingly.

i paid $200 each to my installer to install a rs3.5 and a solaris. both with remote start. i like the solaris more. the pager remote eats up the battery a lot. both systems have different usable features.
