As you all already know, I had a bad accident with the civic just last, last week.
Today, I was having the most awful day (you don't wanna hear the whole long story), and I was just so miserable.
With this awful day full of awful bad, horrid luck; I felt as if something was going to happen to me. Something very foul like another car accident would happen to me. I FELT it.
Plus my retarded manager at work jinxed me by telling me to not get in a car accident today.
The day was about to end, and I thought I would have been safe at home. There is construction on the streets near me like CRAZY. Mad construction up the yin-yang --- cars all over. I needed to make a left turn to get to my house. It was going to be my last turn, and I would be safe, finally at home.
An oncoming car stopped, and totally motioned me to go. I couldn't go though, because I can't see that last lane. It's blocked. There is no way I can see,unless I move up. So I decide to creep forward slowly and turn. I creep forward and go.
BAM.
Out of nowhere, this lady hits the end of my car. She SAW ME TURNING and didn't bother to brake or anything. She just slams into me. I mean, it wasn't like she was close, bc she hit the very end of my car. She could have slowed down, etc.
Of course, she has the right of way --- you know that it is my fault. There is no way you can turn into my neighborhood. No way you can turn left at all and see, because the construction causes traffic to be jammed up so bad that there is NEVER a space.
Anyway, I just had an accident.
Now the rental car is messed up.
The lady is some asian lady who is going to go sue me, claim bodily injury, etc.
My insurance is going to skyrocket even higher.
So anyway, enough with the complaining. haha.
I need to pay for my deductible to fix the Enterprise rental. Enterprise is going to fix it themself, but they want me to pay my insurance deductible, etc. It's one grand.
So I need a grand.
The sucky thing is that I have no money. I was really sick for a while and couldn't work and stuff.
Now I have this stupid accident to pay for. One hit after another; yes, I have a very bad driving record.
Any help would be appreciated.
Can you guys help me out?

If you were turning then technically it would be her fault, unless you cut her off. Of course thats heresay tho. And since construction is going on there is a lower speed limit so you could use that against her. It doesnt have to be all on you so try to think about what exactly happened and see what you have on her. Shes just gonna try to scare you since she knows that she fjcked up.

i think its not totally ur fault..if u take her to court u can probablly get her for contributory negligence..and weight it out and see how many percent she is at fault...cuz from the looks of it...you got rear ended...she should have been able to stop...it was in a construction zone..which means she should have been drivin slower than normal..which would have allowed her to slow down and prevent an accident

yes yes...but the key word is contributory negligence...she wont get off 100% off the hook..but if the other person is found 40% at fault u only pay 60% of the cost...that way she might not want to take it to the most expensive places to try to rip her off

 

it won't matter if she was going 100 mph....the fact that he was turning left is all that matters. you are crossing into oncoming traffic, therefore you have to make ultra sure that it is safe. I know this for a FACT cuz the EXACT SAME THING happened to me, only there was no construction. the guy came out of nowhere, speeding up to a blocked lane, and crushed my ride. The cops came out, it was totally 100% my fault cuz i was turning left. didn't matter that the guy was speeding, talking on a cell phone, drinking coffee and tying his shoes all at the same time. the fact that you turned left in front negates any negligence the other driver has....

they are going to f*** you over just cause your a teenager....I was found 100% at fault at my accident couple years back and i was the one going straight sorta fast and some guy basically did what you did. He won just cause he was some old fart

So today, I went and put a grand on my credit card and also found out from Allstate (the other person's insurance company) that she claims that she is injured, has a lawyer, and is going to sue my insurance.

Dood you guys should see the construction she's talking about.. there are regular lane lines.. but then because of the construction they are making their own lanes with ****ing cones.. u can't even see them sometimes and u have to be concentrating if your not from the area.. Anything she can do to the city?
