Did anyone see the Lakers game last night!?! I devistated when they lost!!!

I don't want to post this on the Off-Topic threads because Sadboy will come on and start braggin...especially since I renamed him "#1 Lakers Fan" a few months back and it took him forever to change it.

Can the Lakers do it this year???

I hope so too. But to do that shaq needs to hit those freakin free throws and I hate to say it but Malone needs to be back and in good working order.
Why the hell did Kobe try for a 3 instead of and easy 2 to go overtime. WTF is up with no time out call??? Ok I just had to vent

Im not a big basketball fan so in reality Im not a true Laker fan, but I think Bryant needs to grow up a little and stop trying to win the spot light.

If he leaves the Lakers I dont think it's gonna make a big difference, he's really not that good.
I think Lebron James is a better player because he's a team player he does showoff but he knows whent to pass the ball instead of showboating.

The lakers have a chance this year all they have to do is get Malone back and it's on!

basically, they just need to run their offense better. run it all through shaq mostly. thats how they'll get easy open shots with double teams. the past years, what teams have won the NBA championship? teams with the really good big man inside (i.e. lakers/shaq, spurs/duncan, rockets/olajuwon, etc.) with exception to the bulls.

but point is, run ur offense with ur big man, and you get easy shots.

also, the lakers have no idea how to guard the pick and roll, every team exploits shaq's laziness off those picks! he's gotta be more active. a;lskdfjasdf pisses me off

as far as lebron being better than kobe, i think not. kobe is insanely clutch. can't blame him for missing one out of 10 game winners. thats 90% there. sometimes u win/lose. lebron is good, but not as developed as kobe. kobe has been averaging almost a triple double every game with 35ppg. although, i like lebron, but hey, he's still a freakin rookie. im sure he'll get way better.

oh, and if the lakers dont win the championship this season, malone and payton joined the lakers for no reason, haahaha.

I didnt say Kobe sucks. I just mentioned the fact that he wants to be the center of attention. He always wants to be the hero. Dont get me wrong he's a great player I just think that he needs to realize he's on a team and needs to pass the ball a little more. I also only used Lebron as an example how someone good can even better as a team, but I do agree with you on everything else.

That's what alot my friends are saying. I watched the two of them a little bit but not enough to make a choice.

I'm sort of against this whole skipping college thing. I wish it were mandatory to have to play at least 1 or 2 years. It's not all about the game, college is a life experience. James just gets handed millions of dollars, then signs an NBA contract for however much more. Way too much for someone that young IMO.

i used to like rick fox. but this year, he's just an ice cold bricklayer. every time he shoots, i expect a miss. and he's supposed to be a good defender. but it doesnt look like that AT ALL this year.

and i really hate how there are so many hesitant shooters on the lakers, especially their bench. if u think about it, perhaps thats why kobe takes the initiative so much, cuz really....no one else on the lakers will. Shaq, payton, and kobe. those are the only guys who won't hesitate to shoot. everyone else, they're pussies! robert horry used to be like that, and i hated it so much. it's like....fuuuck, just shoot it! the first thing that comes to mind for them is pass, instead of realizing that they're WIDE open for a shot, or layup.

rick fox and derek fisher have gotten to be so shitty compared to past years.

kobe is just taking the initiative and putting points on the board when he feels he needs to. he's clutch and plays in the moment. if he sees an opportunity to score, he goes for it. sure he ballhogged in the last game, only in the last 3 minutes mind you. but not in the past 5 games they won. when the lakers win, ppl are just happy and love the lakers. when they lose, they blame it on kobe.

anyway, they should go into shaq more. it's been a while since he scored 30+ points like he used to do on a regular basis.
