2004 model Laptops for sale
Hey all,
Just wanted to share a deal that a friend of mine hooked me up with.
She used to work at comp usa and was able to get some laptops on a midnight sale they had plus get her employee discount too.
So she had two of each of these laptops that I wrote but I already bought one emachine so she has 1 more emachines and 2 Toshibas.
They each retail for $1299 plus tax ($107.16) = $1406.16
She’s letting them go for $900 flat.
Here’s the specs: Brand new, in the box!
Emachines M5105 notebook
Mobile Intel® Celeron® processor 2.4GHz
256MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM
DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive
15.4" WXGA TFT widescreen display
40.0GB hard drive
Intel® Extreme Graphics 3D 852GM with 32MB DDR shared video memory
3 high-speed USB 2.0 ports
Built-in 10/100 Mbps Ethernet LAN; V.92 high-speed modem
Weighs 6.6 lbs./1.5" thin; high-capacity lithium-ion battery

Toshiba Satellite
Intel® Celeron® processor 2.4GHz, with 400MHz system bus
256MB DDR SDRAM, expandable to 1.0GB
DVD-ROM/CD-RW combo drive
15" TFT active-matrix display
40.0GB hard drive
Integrated Intel® 852GM graphics with 32MB shared video memory, Direct 3D support and DirectVideo
Integrated 10/100 Ethernet LAN
V.92 high-speed modem
Weighs about 6 lbs./1.5" thin for easy portability; removable, rechargeable lithium-ion battery with AC adapter
Windows XP Home Edition operating system preinstalled
**both are basically the same spec wise, just the emachine has a slightly bigger screen, 15.4” instead of 15”
I know these will be gone by x-mas cuz she's gonna tell her friends next week but just wanted other 2k1 ppl to know first!
If interested or have any questions, PM for my # or sepudo@yahoo.com
BTW - I already started to use my emachine and let me tell you, this thing is awesome. I know
in the past emachine was not looked on as a real good laptop maker but their new '04 line up is very nice. I would say better than dell and compaq. Internet is faster than ever and movies rock. Wait till I take pics of it in my car...

Im interested in the toshiba, but you would have to tell her friend she needs to lower her price a bit.
Last week at Bestbuy:
$1299
-150
-100
-200
=$850
Not unless I am thinking the wrong model, but hey give a model number if you can

I think she either has the wrong processor listed or hasnt looked at the best buy sites. If its the Celeron proccessor, then its not gonna be that easy of a sale w/o dropping a bit. Just another heads up.

Like you said, those might have been the price of the toshiba,
"Last week at Bestbuy:
$1299
-150
-100
-200
=$850"
***so you would have ended up paying $850, plus tax would be $920
That would be after you recieve all the rebates. But up front you would have
to put up $1299 plus tax =$1406.16
My friend however, is offering 4 of which she has 2 left, for $900 flat,
without having to wait for rebates or put down $1400 ...
need any more explainations?
