As most of you know i was getting ready to sell my car due to mechanical problems. I've been parting it out here and there. Well, at 7:30 this morning, these shady latinos in a red jeep hit my car and split. if i claim insurance, i still have to pay a 1000 dollar deductible, and my insurance increases astronomically. if i dont, i pay for the repair. as far as i know, its mild frame and front bumper damage but it will still hit me hard in the pocketbook. this is the most depressed ive been in a long while. any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

no i was running the nitrous for a long time b4 any problems
the problems arose after my accident, and about 2 months after i took my bottle out.

it was a hit n run, it shouldnt effect your premiums...
i'll buy your rear if you decide to sell it in order to help pay for things...

um...did you get the plates of the jeep? Any ID on it? Find out how much it would cost to repair your car first. Then decide on what to do. **** happens...good luck

Sorry man. I would find out how much the fix will be. If it's under 1000 pay it yourself. If it's over, then have the insurance claim it. Just do it soon. There is usually a problem if you wait to long after the accident to file a claim. Good luck bud.

you know those plastic plates u get at pepboys that have like the pirate skull or the american flag with the eagle? it had one of those. no tags, no license. i didnt get a good look at the guys either.

Why didn't you run after them? Or call the cops on it right away and tell them all you could about that car and the direction it's heading. Sucks for you though.

I say take the hit and go thru insurance. Your premium will NOT go up because of a 'hit and run'. Depending on your insurance company, some may add 1 point to your driving record (VERY FEW companies do this though). The sooner you claim it, the sooner you'll have your car running and ready for sale. Good luck!
