Got speeding ticket Got speeding ticket today and the thing that sux about is that its 2 blocks away from my house 
. I went to go drop off mail and I saw this motorcycle cop pull over a SUV so I passed by slowly, once i passed i saw a cop car behind flashin his lights at me tellin me to pull over 
. So yeah this is my first speeding ticket and only ticket on my vic. How much is a speeding ticket?

Rep Power: 0 how fast were u going and what was the limit at the location ? shoudn't be more than 100 bux. i'd recommend u go to court to see if that cop shows up. If not, the fine is refunded and ur offense never existed. I saved $320 coz the cop didn't show up

Rep Power: 347 yeah, usually they have a pre hearing that you go to and just say not guilty and then they set up a court date for you......I have had plenty of speeding tickets and have gotten out of over half of them by taking them to court or giving them to my lawyer

I got pulled over for going 59 in a 40. I went to traffic school to get the ticket off my record...that put a $205 dent in my account.

Rep Power: 347 I have you all beat, I got my liscense taken away for 9 months for going 112 in a 65. That was about 3 years ago of course and I haven't gotten a ticket for speeding since.....knock on wood.

Rep Power: 313 I got a ticket for going 95mph in a 65mph zone but the cop was cool he put on my ticket that I was going 80mph so that the fine would not be that high, also in Cali I think doing 90mph and above is some kind of felony or something. But the ticket cost me $100 and traffic school is $150

dru106, I got the same ticket as you and ended up paying and going to school to remove the points (first time only). I just don't speed anymore--well, maybe a few miles over.

Rep Power: 351 Or you can pay more of an increase on your insurance. If you have the ***** and think you can get away with it, I suggest fighting the ticket and then rescheduling at least twice. First one 45 days, and the second one 21-30 days. But if you lose, they usually dont let you do traffic school.
