Stolen Skyline...What happens to it now?
If any of you go to GCC, you should know about the white R32 thats always parked at the top of the mountain. The car isn't legalized and still has Japanese plates, but is street drivable because he has a 1 year permit for it. His dad works for 5Zigen and thus was able to bring the car over.
Well, a few days ago it was stolen from his place in Hollywood.
Big problem is that he only had liability on the car so he gets nothing out of it.
A bigger problem is that his chances of recovering the car is close to zero.
He was going to get a R34 after selling the R32 but doesn't want to go through the trauma again.
My question is what might happen to the car?
My friends have been regularly checking eBay incase any of his car parts show up.
Anyone know of any stories of what happens to stolen fixed up imports?

Mexico? Lol I think so too.
He just put in an ad to sell the car too.
I highly doubt it was impounded; he parks it like he does any day when he comes home.
The car is a MAJOR thief magnet. A while ago, someone took a bat to the rear passenger quarter window (drivers side for us) and shattered it good. For no reason.
It was covered with plastic bags so that was probably easy access to the locks.

If it was always in a certain spot then it was most likely tracked, followed and jacked. Obviously somebody did their homework and by now the car is in Mexico being taken apart by some mexican who has no idea what the hell it is.

True, but the best way to make money is to take it there and sell/take it apart. I dont think theyd be stupid enough to keep it becuase its such a rare car. If it were a 7thgen Id say to look around your neighborhood. But its a SKYLINE!!! Kinda obvious if you see the guy driving in the right seat!! LOLZ

Sounds like a poor guy with a rich car lol.
But he's an international student, and like you guys know, Skyline's aren't worshipped in Japan like it is here. Different mentality maybe.
