XtremeJM (Everyone needs to read this)

Today I was talking to Jerame and he told me that he was banned from the site and didnt know why. I myself was temp. banned for no apparent reason since I hadnt come on the site since Sunday. But I got around that and told him that he was banned by VNlilMAN and . . . .

Either way, he wasnt too happy with the whole decision of being banned since there have INDEED been worse threads started by other members.

Long story short, due to this ban, Jerame just wants to let VNlilMAN aka David know that he was the cause for another member leaving this site. As of this moment, he has officially taken his 7thgencivic.com stickers off of his car.

As for me, I have been noticing a change with the site as well on how only certain members are allowed to PW in the so cal forum. I myself have been posting less beacuse the site in its overall quality seems to have been dropping steadliy over the past few months. There are way to many NEWB moderators and I personally have nothing against the so cal ones (AK, VNlilMAN or Iamboo), but it seems like anyone can be moderator now.

I am especially pissed off when a Moderator in New York screws my friend from here and gets away with it. My friend even contacted Derrick aka the creator of the site and he said he was goin to do something about it but never did. To those NEWB mods that abuse their powers I personally call out to the street and see what you wanna do there. I wont drop any names but there are a couple of MODS out there who have been warning me about being banned after posting in the OFF TOPIC forum. Thats what the whole forum is for!!

As of Jeffs Dec 6th meet, I will no longer be affiliated with this site. For those of you that I know personally, I'll see you around for sure. For those others on the site that I know but dont know have fun.

Im Out.

relax it was only a temp ban for 12 hours...
(still reading...)

Alright i finished reading it....
My reason for Temporary banning him: He posted to what 40 different posts. As he was doing it I saw some posts were real responses while others were unnecessary bs ones. Since some of them were i allowed it but not untill he made a post about it saying how he "owned socal". To me that was like rubbing it into someones face and admitting he did something "wrong". So what did I do, I banned him for 12 hours. Big deal. I wasnt about to let that go unpunished as others will follow.
I honestly dont think what I did was wrong nor was it abusing my powers. I do feel badd for having to do it in the first place but only because its one of you guys but ya i do have to draw the line sometime. I cant let everything and anything slide all the time. Recently i have temp banned mr modify and player for doing a similar thing(PW'ing in 1 thread over night). How is what Jeremy did different from that? But ya I was afraid he would take this to heart. I really would hate to see you leave but honestly if i had the choice again, my decision would remain the same.

"how only certain members are allowed to PW in the so cal forum"
Who have been PW'ing? I'll admit i let alot of it slide especially in SoCal but when you make a post saying that you did, thats when i do something about it.

"Moderator in New York screws my friend from here and gets away with it"
Who was that? prototype and abe? I believe the issue was resolved. Derek isnt responsible for member nor the transaction between members. We'll try to help you the best we can but you have to understand we cant exactly sue the guy for you guys.

"a couple of MODS out there who have been warning me about being banned after posting in the OFF TOPIC forum"
Why what were you posting? Next time just PM me and i'll take a look at it to see if their judgement was valid.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you have a problem with ANYONE including a mod please PM me. Its time for my lunch break right now but afterwards I will try and talk to jereme. Hopefully he'll respect my decision. Just to let him know tho, I never have/had anything against him. Still dont...

I personally think it is too easy for anybody to become a MOD. i also believe that it is BS for banning someone temperarly...

im with you, the quality has gone down, people are making their rounds, the people here are leaving and alot of newbies are coming in.

im not disrepecting anyone, but ido believe that some people are misusing their powers.

^ak doesn't what to be involve in any of this.

I don't think there's no need to take off the sticker. You are mad about a member and not the site. To me taking your sticker off means ALOT! I feel that VN was only doing his job. And he even wrote: "Yes, as you were doing it i saw it but decided to let you go but now that you blatantly made a post about it, I have temporarily banned you for the rest of today. Don't take it personal as i would have done this to anyone else who did what you did. I think I'm very lenient with you guys but sometimes i have to draw the line and sorry but this is one of them... Hopefully there's not hard feelings." Which I totally agree with him. It's not like he's an *** all the time. I also agree with Nodnero that Socal mods are the titest. I'm not going to say more than I have to...I got a headache from watching the movie Momento and now this.

wow..

talk about blowing things outta proportion. im still fairly new to this site. and everyone's been really dope. i rarely see a huge outburst of animosity. but to me, this is just childish. resorting to taking off a sticker and leaving the site. who cares if u take off ur sticker. is anyone even gonna notice or care? thats why there's PM or calling by phone if it's that necessary. keep this kinda stuff down to a minimum, especially if you can. i fully agree with what david said. you should just know before you even speak and stop to think and remember that VNlilMAN is a cool guy. you know he wouldnt do something out of the ordinary if the situation didnt really call for it. just my $ .02

lol whats that supposed to mean....

Ya as 7thGenerasianCivic has said, dont leave the site because of a member. If anything, hate me not the site.
Oh and I thank you guys for supporting my decision but ya I'm not always right. I do make mistakes and don't expect you guys to agree with me all the time. If you do have a disagreement with me, please PM me about it as I am pretty understanding and can work things out. hmm... not sure what his contact info is so i'll just PM him something.. hopefully he'll change his mind and decide to stay as he has quite a few friends on here...

i dunno about you guys... but i love this site... and i wouldn't take off the 7thgen decal jus cuz of a mod... i don't care if its free advertisement but i jus really love this site... (i like the older version of the site better though)

seriously though, if there weren't any mods, it would just be chaos and the real tech people that actually help us out with our cars wouldn't come to the site because of all the immature members/immautre posts

it would be so hard to sift through all the posts and find something actually useful and separate the useful info from the crap...

we actually have mods to do that for us

This site has changed a lot. I liked it better the old way 2k1civic.com
Only posted on the main page was the 4 most popular forum areas with
less than ten 8 topics per area.

The ride of the week was also a sweet idea.

Now there are a million threads on which is the best intake, is it safe for turbo
or nirtrous, pulley claims, stupid 3 word games and crap.

This site has gotten far away from what it was originaly designed for.

well im new to the site and from what i see this thing had been made into something it doesnt need to be, as a mod david makes the decsions, thats why he is a mod, been around for awhile and does what he thinks is right, but its a 12 hour banning, half a day, most people wont even come on that often to even notice, besides why should he take of the stickers, just be mad at david if u think its that bad.

I agree. I understand why Jeremy and Chase would remove their 7thgencivic.com stickers and agree with them. I used to post a lot, but now theres nothing much to post about.. I hope there is a change in the site!

Not to start this **** up again but I think Rebecca was banned from the site for no reason. I feel that the mod that banned her was immature and shouldn't even be a mod. David, you have respect for everyone and I guess sometimes you gotta do your **** but other mods just abuse their power. Rebecca says that she's missing about 1,000 points and we all know where they went.. She'd like them back. Anyway, I find myself loggin' on to the site less and less so bye everyone! haha

My reasoning for me leaving the site is more than this temporary ban, its for all the same reasons chase posted, plus some, I have no hard feelings towards David at all, he is cool and was doing what he felt is his job, im not gonna hate on that, I just feel that if a person has no life while at work and shows that he spends his whole day on this site that he shouldnt be punished, i was not rubbing in that i was doing something wrong, i made what, 20 replies, maybe 20% might have been just the first thing that came to my mind, its my way of expressing what i would say if that topic was brought up during a meet and we were all hanging around. I feel that this forum is not as wholesome as it once was, we have members from other organizations and other cars who come here and rip on us, like we dont know our cars are slow HELLO we drive them everyday saying " I think i can I think I can" and those people come here and to me brings the quality down. When Tim, Innovate, got his car back i remember a few poeple rippin on his car, not sure if it was the socal forum, but come on, he has worked hard, made many sacrafices, and spent im sure lots of money to make his car were HE wants it to be, dont hate, be happy for him, even if its not your taste. When i first joined this site, it was a family, the socal forum was not even 1/10 of the size it is now, we were all about helping eachother out, not flamin, funny jokes, there has been good times and bads, i remember when CivicSoldja left to korea, i was scared for him. I was honestly saddened and worried for him. He was in my prayers for a safe return home, and thank God he has returned to our family. Me peeling off my sticker is not over this whole issue, this was just the frustration then lead me to walk out to my car and do it, the reason is there a people from this so cal forum who do things that gives us, the site as a whole, a bad name and i do not want to be judged for that. That is my reasoning, and i will be on here for the next couple of days to finish my business in the socal. Hopefully you all can look beyond this and not look at this one sitaution and make a change for the better, become a family once again, why have so many people try to make all these teams, become one, be proud to be Team 7thGenCivic.com, but dont do things to make be asshamed to admit they belong to this organization.

I rest at that.

Well said. Let's just put this whole situation behind us and try to make this site a little piece of what it used to be. At least let's try in the So. Cal forums. I havn't been posting on this site for a long time, but I have been a member for a while and I've been just reading post for even longer then I was a member. It honestly is a shame to see how this forum has gone a bit downhill. It's an even bigger shame to see how some actions can lead to some long-time members leaving the site. I personally hope that everyone can put this behind them and just work at it again. I'd hate to see Jeremy and the others, to leave the site. I know I might not know all of you or even many of you at that, but this site is a good place to just chill and be stupid. Let's just respect the lines the mods make us stand behind, and understand that when mods do take action it is somehow, for the best.

oh yeah.....and as for people who rip at my car, I understand that not everyone has the same taste, but I guess that IS what makes everyone unique..... but I do thank some of you who responded positivly even though it wasn't their style. like i said before, blown out of proportion.

first and foremost, this is a forum. a freakin forum. where we collectively bring together our comments, remarks, thoughts, opinions, questions, and etc. to one place. since when did we need to JUDGE this FORUM. as if it seriously impairs our life. there's no complication in any of this. to say that this place has gone "downhill" is sort of strange to me. to even refer to such a thing as negative is strange to me. it's obvious that we can see, the 7thgen community has gotten huge and continues to grow. i think it's ridiculous how ppl complain about not having the "good old days" where, ...what? when there were 50 ppl instead of 1,000? i see it as growth and something inevitable. there was some post someone made earlier referring to this sort of complaint, about it not feeling like a "family of 5" nemore. i see it as a huge bank of reviews, opinions, and things i can use to help myself whenever i got a problem or something with my car. or if i need an opinion from ppl about something i might have done. to leave this site because u think it's gone downhill is seriously ridiculous to me, but that is ur opinion. i have yet to see an example of this forum going "downhill" in this socal forum. we already all act like good friends and a huge family. even when a lot of us haven't even met each other yet (though we will soon in the next couple of meets ). so where is this "downhill" thing ur talking about? i think things are running smoothly as i see it. and about InOvAtStyL's car. i dont really know why you even brought that up but, since u say some ppl said some comments about it, that apparently were negative. i think , so what? ppl have their opinions, and thats a part of what this forum is about. what if his car WAS ugly? are we gonna just lie to him so he can drive around with ppl laughing at it? i could care less if someone spent a million dollars on a civic. if it was ugly, then its ugly. of course, there's no need to say it blatantly rude, but u know, constructive criticism. by i personally love InOvAtStyL's car. i think it looks insanely dope. so anyway. like many of us have already said, let this "issue" die out and we can easily forget about it. we're all coo like that.

keep it jiggy

Well, I'm glad this situation is ameliorated now.

I'm not going to add anything NEW to the mix, but just my own thing.. I don't have the sticker on my car, because I don't believe in advertising for anything on your car, even if I had my own business (I don't mind pop-up ads or paying for stuff or if they sold little things to make money for the site.. it's all good!).
I also think that yeah, other mods abuse their powers, like when shit2kmang banned me for posting the results of a transaction. Now, my pts are gone.. I don't know where they went!!! I'm looking for them, but I assume they were taken away due to the fact that some mod may have thought I acquired them by pw-ing? Anyway, back to the subject at hand, I think David does a damn****inggood job modding. I wouldn't be mad if he did the same thing to me, because I feel that he did it in a non-threatening and respectful manner. Some mods are like "yeah, I'm the man, and I'll ban you just because I can." I hate those.. .u guys know who those are....
